Erin Fry
About
Native Houstonian, Erin Fry has been working as a musician, actress, and visual artist since she was 8 years old.
As a visual artist, her work dances on the border between fine art and illustration. Erin is drawn to the subtle complexities of texture and light in the world around me. I seek to create a sense of fragile movement in my pieces. Primarily, I work in watercolor and pen and ink often choosing to explore the delicate grace of nature and wildlife around me.
With just over 20 years of both theatre and visual arts teaching experience, Erin has taught for Lamar CISD, Theatre Under The Stars, The River Performing and Visual Arts Center, and Mirus Academy. She also formerly served as the Visual Arts Director for Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center.
Having received a BFA from University of Houston in Theatrical Design, Erin enjoys designing for local theatre groups in her spare time. She has a special love for designing wearable puppetry and doing scenic painting.
