About

I am a visual artist , I specialize in painting but am also a photographer. I am a photographer of architecture, ruins, and landscapes . I make paintings that range from figurative to abstract. I have been selected for the 2017 and 2021 Big Show at the Lawndale art center as well as in other galleries and art spaces most recently I joined the Monterosso Gallery at Sawyer Yards. I am highly familiar with the Houston artist community and with the current global artist community. I am constantly researching new artists. My artworks are made through extensive research of art and architecture before I begin the actual painting process .When I lived in the uk I kept up with the contemporary painting community of Edinburgh and London, the uk current art scene very skillfully integrates contemporary concepts with art history, and learning from them I was able to shift my own practice from an older art historical focus towards a more untethered and conceptual approach to art.
