Lisa Herrington Art
About
Lisa Herrington is best known for her colorful striking imagery that evokes raw emotion within the viewer. Her use of vibrant color draws you into the deeper realm from which her work is derived. Her goal is to connect with the viewer on a higher and more spiritual level and bring about contemplation of things beyond the immediate material world. Many of Lisa’s works include the human form, not in a literal and realistic manner, but to represent the nonphysical part of a person which is the seat of emotions and character; the soul. Lisa is a native Houstonian and honors graduate from the Art Institute of Houston. She began producing works for exhibits in local Houston galleries in 2002. Her work has been commissioned by Houston Attorney Firms, Realtors and Oil Companies as well as private collectors over the years. Lisa is also a drummer/percussionist in a local band called Soul Fixx who is known to perform at many of her art exhibits. In 2008 Lisa began teaching art at a private school and a few years later after school art lessons at a few private studios across Houston. Now she is teaching private lessons at her home studio as well as private and group lessons at Aurora Studios in the Heights.
