About

Samuel Snelling was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and is an abstract mixed media acrylic artist that uses paint pouring techniques to create other worlds and creatures. Samuel wants to express the mental health aspect of art, and how much it helps one's mind. Samuel has been sober from alcohol for over 9 years, and uses art as a way to express his journey.  He has had his artwork featured in the Houston Art Crawl, the Beatnik Syndicate’s Block Party, the Keepin’ It Surreal Art Show, The Mission JADE Art & Wine Walk Fundraiser, and the Pancake and Booze Art Show. His work has also been featured in the Urban Prophets Illustrated (Feb. 2021; Vol. 002; Page 8), and in The Item Online (Aug. 2022). Samuel Snelling's piece "The Skull" is on display in the Museum of Texas Arts in Huntsville, Texas. Samuel’s future plans are working with organizations for mutual benefit to showcase his work through clothing, art murals, and projects connecting within communities, attending/showcasing artwork at local Texas art shows and markets, and continuing to craft different series of works.
